MANDARIN ORIENTAL RITZ MADRID

For me, traveling is like the air I breathe… i just can’t live without it. This time I went to Madrid, where I’ve been for the fourth time, but certainly never so noble. My home far away from home was the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid. It is connecting the Belle Époque Palace Hotel style with an amazing luxurious attitude and lives up to its sonorous name, full of gold shimmering surprises.

Right at the entrance, the spacious and light-flooded hall gives you an idea that further highlights are waiting for you. My corner suite was very spacious and sophisticated, offering all the advantages of a Grand Hotel paired with latest technology, precious materials, contemporary art and advanced interior design…. for me the best combination on earth.

My personal favorites were the wooden floor in herringbone style and the paneled carrara marble walls… absolutely stunning. During my stay I had two favorite places to be. The fist one was the main hall with its wonderful glass roof in the French style. The second one was the charming outdoor terrace with its unique atmosphere. The place to be for stylish locals. A table there must often be reserved several weeks in advance. Recommended by the friendly staff, I tried the signature paella and drank champagne in the bright sunshine. I can highly recommended this combination. The wonderful food and high quality selection of restaurants, as well as the attentive service with absolute love for details…

The hotel is also so wonderfully central… all the major sightseeing highlights are not far… and more importantly (for me), it is close to the fashionable district of Salamanca for great high-end shopping.I know i really like a hotel when i can see myself coming back… and this is certainly the case here. You can find more information about the hotel on my Instagram highlights called madrid. In addition, a reel to the hotel is waiting for you there. xoxo Georgina Moreno
