Hey loves. Traveling fascinated me even as a child. Judging by stories I was asked about my career aspirations at the age of five and the answer was: astronaut. I haven’t got that far yet, but I can say that I have now seen a lot of beautiful corners of this world. My favorite place so far has always been the Maldives, but Mauritius is a great competition for the archipelago.
For a week I was able to escape the European winter and enjoy the lovely subtropical weather in Mauritius… the high humidity is so beneficial.
My hotel was the Lux Grand Baie Resorts & Hotels. A new opening in the north of the island, located directly on the beach.
As the name suggests, Lux Grand Baie is a luxury resort and offers design lovers like me the full range of interior and architectural perfection. The rooms are modern, spacious and offer wonderful views of the beach. I slept so wonderfully there and that is not something that can be taken for granted.
What I personally liked very much was the selection of music that could be heard at the pools and restaurants. One of the best I’ve heard so far. Got so much inspiration for my Spotify.
Mauritius was made first, and then heaven and that heaven was copied after Mauritius.
The food was just great. Three restaurants there offer something for everyone and the quality is very high. This is such a sensitive topic, which I think the hotel has mastered perfectly. The same goes for the service, which was very friendly and attentional. The culinary highlight for sure is the Asian restaurant Ai KISU with its surprising variety of aromas the new culinary hotspot of this island.
During my stay I was not bored for a minute. This is ensured by the great spa, five pools and the wonderful beach where various water sports are offered. Another brand new entertainment option is a cooking workshop with the chef. Please watch my Intagram Stories for more information.
