Amsterdam Travel Guide

Hey guys! Some days ago I finally made it to Amsterdam. This was a long wished destination of mine and I can definitely say, that this city is worth visiting. Amsterdam is an architectural masterpiece with lovely corners everywhere. Enjoy the read and please let me know what you think about my tips.

WHERE TO STAY

In Amsterdam I had the chance to stay in two gorgeous Hotels. The Conservatorium and the Hotel Okura Amsterdam. These two members of Leading Hotels of the World I can highly recommend. The Conversatorium has repeatedly been crowned the number one luxury hotel in the Netherlands. Located in the Museum Square district, the true heart of the city, this luxury hotel is an architectural masterpiece that combines a landmark heritage building with graceful, contemporary design. The Okura Amsterdam is a modern, 23-story hotel and overlooks the romantic streets from the 16th-18th century running along Amsterdam’s famous canals.

WHERE TO EAT

Jansz – This recommendation came from my dear blogger girl The Fashion Cuisine, who is based in Amsterdam. Thank you girl! Delicious food, nice location and friendly service. You can get there from steaks, burgers and tartares to ceasar and nicoise salads, oysters and a selection of more gorgeous main courses.

Yamazato Restaurant – This is the asia restaurant of the Okura Hotel, where you get the most delicious and traditional japanese food on it´s best. This place offers an amazing view to an outstanding japanese garden too.

Café Restaurante De Plantage – This is another recommendation from my blogger girl The Fashion Cuisine and i couldn´t be happier about it. I had my birthday lunch there and enjoyed a delicious high quality food while looking the birds in Artis.

Taiko Restaurant – This stylish restaurant offers an outstanding contemporary Asian Cuisine. It is situated within the Conservatorium Hotel. The chef Schilo Van Coevorden matches delicate Asian flavours with a beautiful backdrop.

Yscuypje – There you get the best Ice-Cream. It is everywhere in Amsterdam.

WHERE TO SHOP

P.C. Hoofstraat – This is the main address for top fashion. Chanel, Dior, Gucci and many more other brand are located there.

The 9 Streets – It is located in the heart of Amsterdam´s Canal Distric and one of the city´s most beautiful shopping areas. Many small charming brands are there. Here I have to say thanks again to The Fashion Cuisine for this great recommendation.

And there you have it guys! If it wasn’t before, I hope Amsterdam is at the top of your „destinations to be“ list now. Have a lots of fun guys! xoxo Georgina Moreno
