LA BOBADILLA HOTEL

Willis Barnstone, an American poet, once said, „Whoever knows olive trees, worships them, considers them to be angels who rise from the earth. Perhaps Mr. Barnstone was referring to the Hotel La Bobadilla when he wrote these lines. Already the stately gate at the beginning of the approx. 2.5 kilometer driveway, you can guess that at the end of the street something very special awaits. Surrounded by countless olive trees, brooms and other flowering shrubs, you can enjoy a winding landscape through the hilly landscape. If you look closely, you can even spot a few bunnies, which are protected by the rocks.

From the distance the La Bobadilla – A Royal Hideaway Hotel looks almost like a small Andalusian village with its extensive grounds, the church tower and the stylized plaza with the stone fountains.

Everywhere roses, orange trees, bougainvillea. Once you have reached the hotel, you will be greeted by a magical bird concert, which will accompany you until the end of your stay. From this moment on, holiday feeling begins to spread: the inner calm returns and acts as a balm for the soul and stressed by noise and stress.

In the hotel itself, stone floors, precious woods and marble dominate the high-quality Spanish-inspired decoration. The staff friendly and spoiled you with a delicious welcome drink. Our room was generous and equipped with every comfort. Even a private terrace with two deckchairs was part of it. The highlight for me was the wonderfully soft bed, the spacious bathroom with a pressure-filled shower and the unobstructed view of the olive plantations.

Since we had a multi-day stay, we could try the various attractions of the hotel largely. From mountain biking to horse riding and hiking everything is possible. But my favorite was, of course, the 1,000 m2 pool, where you could spend the whole day with meditative music. From time to time even small treats and well-chilled lemon water are served. The La Bobadilla Hotel is located right between Granada and Malaga. This is why a city trip is a must. If you are looking for a special intensive relaxation, you will find this in the spa by means of massage treatment, saunas and indoor pool.

In therms of food, we have been very well treated too. Be it the rich breakfast with poached eggs or in the evening in one of the two restaurants in the area. Since I like to try the local food on trips, I recommend the restaurant El Cortijo, where regional cuisine with strong Andalusian roots is offered. Highlight: A freshly prepared paella with fresh seafood. But you should try the specialties such as stewed oxen tail too. Fans of an internationally oriented gourmet kitchen will find a special offer at the La Finca restaurant. The newly opened El Mirador Restaurant is located near the pool and offers tasty treats for the whole family. In all the restaurants the food was extremely delicious and the service attentive and on the point. Feel-good factor .

The La Bobadilla Hotel is an oasis for those seeking peace, nature lovers and relaxation fans. It is a place for lovers. These days were precious to me, and the peaceful mood echoed in me several days after my departure. If you can not get enough of the Hotel La Bobadilla, look forward to several modeshootings that took place there for you. Stay tuned! xoxo Georgina Moreno
