JUFENALM

There are two opposite ways in which one I would like to spend Christmas best. On the one hand there is the eternal longing for the South Pacific or the journey goes to the snow-capped mountains. This year I opted for option two and couldn’t be happier about this decision.
I went to Austria for four wonderful days in the newly opened Jufenalm. The first boho hotel in the Alps.

My first impression after arriving: they didn’t promise too much when they mentioned Bohemian spirit in the alps. The interior design is a perfect mix of beach boho and mountain chic down to the last centimeter. The color world: beige, cool brown, gold and silver. Different gray tones can be found in every corner. 100% my taste. The rooms are super cozy, modern and Instagramable. I took several pictures for my account there. On top of that, I had a fantastic view of the snow-capped mountains… and even my own sauna with a panoramic view, of course. One of the outdoor highlights were a speedy tobogganing and also the feeding of mountain goats and the deer.

The food was delicious… just like I’m used to from Austria. There was everything your heart desires. From kaiserschmarrn to sushi. No wishes remained unfulfilled and the breakfast buffet made it difficult for me to keep a diet.
The atmosphere in the Jufenalm is very relaxed and the staff is friendly and unobtrusive. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. A romantic atmosphere surrounds this place. I spent very relaxing days there and I hope to be able to be back here in summer… that is certainly just as nice.
